H. Frank Carey’s Daniel Davide and Dakota Terenzi were named Seniors of the Month for January.
Daniel is a warm-hearted person who shows nothing but sincerity and kindness to those around him. He has demonstrated hard work and perseverance in all subject areas, as is evident by his acceptance into the National, Spanish, Science and Music honor societies. This Advanced Placement scholar stands out in a sea of high-achieving students, not only for his academic standards, but his character and demeanor. As captain of the varsity volleyball team, he has led by example both on and off the court, capturing the respect of the entire school community. He is also a talented player on the varsity tennis team, as well as a member of our leadership physical education program and the Class of 2017. When he isn’t motivating his teammates or mentoring a younger student, you can find him playing in multiple ensembles with the school orchestra. Those around him admire his determination to excel and his natural way of uplifting others. Congratulations, Daniel!
Dakota is one of the most spirited, friendly and hard-working students in the school. She is extremely involved in numerous school activities and is reliable, responsible and dedicated. Her leadership positions include corresponding secretary for the Class of 2017, president of the Foreign Language Honor Society, co-vice president of Think Pink and treasurer of Hallways to Runways. She is incredibly bright and has been a top performer in the classroom, including being inducted into both the National and Foreign Language honor societies. This lively senior is also a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, President’s Club and the Family Ties program. She played a major role in bringing the idea of a winter pep rally to fruition and has made a substantial impact on life at Carey High School with her enthusiasm and incredible work ethic. Congratulations, Dakota!
