H. Frank Carey’s Mock Trial team litigated their way to a first round victory in the Nassau County Bar Association’s annual tournament. Carey’s plaintiff’s attorneys and witnesses successfully argued their case in the malicious prosecution trial created by the Nassau County Bar Association.
The team members put their analytical thinking, articulate rhetoric and tenacious questioning skills on display to an experienced Nassau County lawyer, who served as the judge at the Supreme Court building in Mineola. The team spent countless hours preparing for the trial under the guidance of N. Scott Banks, attorney-in-chief of the Nassau County Legal Aid Society, who generously volunteered his time and energy to assist the Carey students.
After another strong showing at a second trial, the team has earned enough points to advance to the next round. Congratulations to all Mock Trial team members and best of luck in the remainder of the tournament!
